Issues Strongly Supporting

  • Earn Back Teachers & Communities Trust - Eliminate pay for performance and over testing. Get back to teaching core subjects and doing it well.
  • Lack of Budget Funding - Get a better handle on the budget we have. Identify and strategically support the programs that are working and eliminate wasteful spending.
  • Eliminate the inconsistency in the school bell times that was created in 2011.
  • Communication - A better, clearer line of communication with the public being better informed. I am an accessible candidate and will not change if elected.

Leadership

CMS and the Charlotte community deserves a superintendant that is a clear LEADER - someone who has a business and educational leadership background. This person is great in the classroom, board room and state house. This person is compensated accordingly with the turn around and longevity of the CMS system.
